Tom Usher has written an article pointing out how Dr. Nicoloi’s letter to Alan Chambers has been taken out of context. Usher includes Nicolosi’s letter in the article, which he claims is the original source of its posting. Following are some excerpts from Usher’s article on TheRealLiberalChurch website:
“Much is being made of Dr. Nicolosi writing to Alan Chambers that he, Dr. Nicolosi, has said that he can’t ‘cure’ anyone of same-sex attraction. That is not to say that Dr. Nicolosi is saying that he has never treated anyone the results of which have been to-date arriving and remaining where the client is no longer sexually aroused by those of the same sex.” (more…)

The Alliance Defending Freedom (formally the Alliance Defense Fund) lent its legal support to an Illinois school board that decided to stop using material from the Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network aimed at elementary schoolchildren. Following are excerpts from the Alliance Defending Freedom article titled “Defending Schoolchildren from the Homosexual Legal Agenda:”
“Last fall, the district’s Materials Review Committee approved the use of GLSEN’s ‘Ready, Set, Respect!’ curriculum program, which promotes homosexual behavior. After reading one of the books in the curriculum, several parents voiced concerns. In May, the board voted to drop the GLSEN materials from elementary schools, finding the materials inappropriate and a poor reflection of the community’s values.” (more…)

Parents and Friends of Ex-gays and Gays (PFOX) sent a letter to California Assemblywoman Mary Hayashi and the committee she chairs urging her committee to vote against SB 1172. Senate Bill 1172 would make it illegal for counselors and therapists to provide therapy for minors with unwanted same-sex attractions. PFOX pointed out the hypocrisy of the liberal thinking that asserts “children should be able to legally change their gender but not their sexual orientation.” The PFOX June 12, 2012 letter follows: (more…)

The TFP (Tradition, Family, Property) Student Action has produced a video of the harassment they have received by peacefully demonstrating for traditional marriage. Entitled “Attacked by Tolerance” the video documents the hateful and intolerant actions towards students demonstrating for traditional moral values on a Berkley campus and other sites in America. It is eye-opening the hate in people whose moral guideline is supposed to be tolerance. The video indirectly shows the level of hate many ex-gays have endured who go public.

The National Association of Research and Therapy of Homosexuality is alarmed at a California legislative effort to ban reparative therapy. Here are the concluding paragraphs of the NARTH statement: – “The fact that this legislation is solely directed at SOCE should be a red flag suggesting that ideological and political motivations may motivate backers of this legislation as much as any concern for consumers derived from the relevant science. It appears that those opposed to the ethical and professional provision of SOCE, having been unable to impose their will on professional organizations and licensing boards, are now attempting an end around power grab through the legislative process. NARTH believes this effort, if successful, would set a dangerous precedence for the mental health professions, unjustly restrict client rights, and almost certainly invite legal action.” (more…)
