Anne Paulk – gay and Christian should not fit together at all

December 27, 2013 By: Tom Coy Category: Ex-gay News, Religious Perspective

November 7,2013

The following essay “Gay Christians” by Anne Paulk is reprinted in its entirety from the PFOX website: I, Anne, have this to say concerning sin struggles, identity and marriage or singleness: Another portion of the ‘gay’ Christian statements go like this, “But many of us still struggle with sin to some degree and are not intent upon marriage, ‘gay Christian’ seems to make us feel comfortable and fit us better.” These things should not fit together at all.

Of course people still will struggle with sin, regardless of their backgrounds! Though they will be tempted in many areas, not only in what were once life-dominating areas. They may struggle even more if they have just left homosexuality (or drugs or use of alcohol or other sinful intoxicants). (more…)

November 4, 2013

The following excerpts are from the article “NALT Project is the New Headless Horseman” written by Darryl L. Foster and published on the Voice of the Voiceless website: … “NALT’s official narrative/parrotive is “Christians proclaiming their belief in full LGBT equality”. [John] Shore claims the purpose of The NALT [Not All Like That] Christians Project is to give LGBT-affirming Christians a platform to share the belief that there’s nothing wrong with two men having sex with each other. Or two women. Or any of the other emerging variations of new sexual ‘orientations’ that they keep inventing. All in childish error I might add. Its just all about love. Making it ‘all about love’ is a very convenient tool for LGBT affirmers. It allows them to handily dismiss pesky biblical admonitions about sexual purity, moral requirements, obedience to Christ and fidelity to truth as outdated legalism. (more…)

According to the lawsuit, the teen suffers from ‘unwanted gender identity disorder and unwanted same-sex attractions’ and has contemplated suicide. …”

Family Watch International NEW policy brief on SOCE

December 27, 2013 By: Tom Coy Category: Sexual Orientation Change Efforts

November 2013

The beginning of the Family Watch International policy brief entitled “Laws Banning Sexual Orientation Change Therapy are Harmful and Violate Fundamental Human Rights” follows: “’Sexual Orientation Change Efforts’ (SOCE),a term used to describe therapeutic approaches to help people with unwanted same-sex attraction (SSA), has become increasingly controversial in recent years. This is because activists opposing SOCE therapy (also referred to as ‘change therapy’) falsely claim it is ineffective and harmful. Such claims are not based on any scientific data, and instead, run counter to widely available evidence.” (more…)

November 1, 2013

The following Press Release “American Psychiatric Association Struggles Again with Classifying Pedophilia” by the Liberty Counsel is reprinted in its entirety: Washington, DC—The American Psychiatric Association (APA) has changed the definition of pedophilia again. In the fifth edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM-V) of Mental Disorders, the APA changed the classification of pedophilia from a “disorder” to a “sexual orientation,” but following the public outcry, APA released a statement that it was a mistake. “‘Sexual orientation’ is not a term used in the diagnostic criteria for pedophilic disorder, and its use in the DSM-5 text discussion is an error and should read ‘sexual interest.’” (more…)

Five Things to Look for When a Man Says He’s Repentant” on Joe Dallas’s blog: “Wives often ask my wife and I how they can really know their husband, who’s committed some form of sexual sin, is getting better. While there’s no acid test, there are some things I believe a woman can and should expect when her man says, ‘I was wrong; I’ve repented of it.’”

“If that’s the case, here are the top five things I think she should see: 1. Action … 2. Attitude … 3. Accountability … 4. Awareness … 5. Aspiration ….”

“Jimenez’s ‘The Book of Matt: Hidden Truths About the Murder of Matthew Shepard,’ out last month, challenges every cultural myth surrounding Shepard’s short life and unspeakable death. After some 13 years of digging, including interviews with more than 100 sources, including Shepard’s killers, Jimenez makes a radioactive suggestion: The grisly murder, 15 years ago this month, was no hate crime.” (more…)

Jernigan, who titles the song ‘Rise Up,’ is a former homosexual who has been married for three decades and has nine children. He lives in Oklahoma.”

“… ‘When you think about it, it’s a natural fit for what they’re trying to accomplish,’ says Jernigan. Why a natural fit? Because “Rise Up” lets people know that former homosexuals are proof that hope for change for unwanted same-gender attractions is available through Christ. …”
