The full text to the National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality practice guidelines can be found on the NARTH website at http://narth.com/2011/12/narth-practice-guidelines/.
Here is a short excerpt from the introduction: – “This document is intended to provide educational and treatment guidance to clinicians who affirm the right of clients to pursue change of unwanted same-sex behavior and attractions. The specific goals of these guidelines are twofold: (1) to promote professional practice that maximizes positive outcomes and reduces the potential for harm among clients who seek change-oriented intervention for unwanted same-sex attractions and behavior, and (2) to provide information that corrects stereotypes or mischaracterizations of change-oriented intervention and those who seek it.”

The Fall 2011 newsletter by Parents and Friends of Ex-gays and Gays (PFOX) contains a report of board member Christopher Doyle’s participation in the conference. PFOX was one of the 175 attendees invited to the conference. Christopher asked one congresswoman present at the conference, “What if a student disagrees with homosexual behavior because of their religious view? Is there protection for students in the bill due to religious expression?” The Fall 2011 PFOX newsletter can be found at http://pfox.org/PFOX_newsletter_Fall_2011.pdf.

An article by Peter Baklinski reveals the political reason for the emphasis with which gay activists have pushed anti-bullying legislation. Here is a short excerpt: – “In the early 90’s Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgendered (GLBT) activists in Massachusetts sought to indoctrinate school children with homosexual values. GLBT activist Kevin Jennings, who was later appointed by President Obama as the assistant deputy secretary of the Office of Safe and Drug-Free Schools inside the Department of Education, masterminded the scheme of gay anti-bullying programs as a perfect inroad into the otherwise resistant classrooms of the nation.” Read the rest of this entry →

Following is an excerpt from AlbertMohler.com: – “Virtually all of the secular professions that deal with sexual orientation are stalwartly opposed to reparative therapy, or to any attempt to change one’s pattern of sexual attraction. Indeed, these groups hold to an inflexible ideology that insists that there is absolutely nothing wrong with homosexuality. These groups include, for example, the American Psychological Association, the American Psychiatric Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the National Association of Social Workers, among many others.” …
