February 14, 2011

The 2011 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) was boycotted by many conservative organizations because for the second year in a row CPAC included a gay activist group, GOProud , as a major participant in the conference.

Many of the organizations boycotting the conference placed a full page ad in the Washington Times denouncing CPAC’s partnership with a gay rights organization.

Despite the boycott, Parents and Friends of Ex-gays and Gays (PFOX) had their exhibit at the CPAC conference. Read the rest of this entry →

January 23, 2011

A January 23, 2011 MassResistance Post documented conservative reaction to New Jersey’s recently passed anti-bullying bill. This is an excerpt from ex-gay Greg Quinlan “Governor Chris Christie has signed the ‘Anti-Bullying Bill Rights.’ This legislation is very bad. It really is the LGBTIQ indoctrination and protection act. It will not stop a single act of bullying nor would it have prevented the tragic suicide of Rutgers’s’ University student Tyler Clementi.” Read the rest of this entry →

Jeff Walton’s web article quoted Hillary Clinton speaking at a gay pride event organized by the group “Gays and Lesbians in Foreign Affairs Agencies” in June of 2010. “We celebrate the progress of advancing the rights of LGBT [Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender] in our country, as we continue to advance the rights of all people around the world.” Walton believes that at the State Department LGBT rights trump religious freedom. Testimony of former homosexual who benefited from reparative therapy published by PFOX

July 17, 2012 By: Tom Coy Category: Clinical Science, Homosexuality Causation, Sexual Orientation Change Efforts

December 21, 2010

In December of 2010 PFOX (Parents and Friends of Ex-gays and Gays) sent out a bulletin with a link to the testimony of a man in his twenties named Jake who was able to change his sexual orientation with the help of reparative therapy. Here is a short excerpt. “Thankfully, I discovered a form of psychotherapy, often called Reparative Therapy or Gender Affirming therapy. It attempts to treat the root causes of your homosexuality, and gradually allow your heterosexual ‘true self’ to appear. The therapy has a success rate typical for most forms of psychotherapy, about a third of the persons who do it properly and don’t give up experience ‘good change.’ Thanks to much determination, I am among those whom it has worked well.” The full testimony can be found at http://pfox.org/diary-ex-gay-man.pdf.

Exodus International ends its involvement the Day of Truth

July 17, 2012 By: Tom Coy Category: Ex-gay News

November 3, 2010

After four years of supporting the Day of Truth event in high schools and one year “spearheading” the event, Exodus International will no longer be involved in the Day of Truth. In a press release Exodus International president Alan Chambers stated, “Even though we have reached a fair number of students, we believe that due to the timing of the event, Day of Truth was always perceived in an adversarial manner, and became more about policy than people. That is in conflict with the mission we have chosen to embrace as an organization. We want to continue to promote dialogue and to equip Christian kids to reach out with compassion, grace and truth. We don’t need to practice this once a year, but rather every day.” The press release was still posted as of July 9, 2012 at http://exodusinternational.org/2010/11/exodus-departs-from-day-of-truth/
